Regards from Denmark

Meet Michael. Michael is a very happy Wireworld customer in Denmark. He attempted to send an email a few months ago to share his excitement withour staff but somehow his email never made it through.

Michael was determined to express how dramatically the Aurora power cord improved the sound of his system.

A few days ago Michael went outside to a pay-phone in Denmark, called up Wireworld HQ and we had a fantastically good conversation. He told me how his friend who does NOT "believe" in cables were absolutely astounded by what he heard, but more so by what he didn't hear.

I wish I could relay all the details of all we talked about but suffice it to say it was a very pleasant and exciting conversation. He insisted on finally getting me that email.

Dear Chris.

It was nice talking to you by phone ... Wireworld is for me today the best cables/product money can buy. Like I told you, I been using alot of other cables by the years...Nordost Valhalla, Odin, Transparent, Mit Purist audio, Xlo, Argento and a lot more. But after buying a (Series) 5.2 powercable at 10 times (less) of a Valhallas price, I thought all the other brands cheated me.

Wireworld will soon be in my whole system. I use PBN Olympia Mini poweramp,Olympia L pre,and Holfi Xandra MP. My Speakers is the Ayra C1 by Eben(Danish)...

Wireworld Eclipse 6 will be my new REFERENCE, Eclipse 6 or Silver Eclipse.

Best regards from Denmark

Michael Bladt

Thanks Michael!

Best regards from Wireworld.

What is your overall philosophy regarding cables?

The following is an excerpt from 6Moons interview with David Salz, President of Wireworld

6Moons: What is your overall philosophy regarding cables?

D. Salz: I only decided to enter this field after I bypassed the interconnects between my preamp and amp, which showed me how much music was being lost in the cables I was using. My goal has always been to eliminate the losses and colorations of cables rather than producing some special effect to suit my or someone else's taste or equipment. My reference has always been a direct connection and I believe that the common practice of evaluating cables by simply swapping them leads to confusion and cable designs with strange sound effects rather than higher fidelity.

I feel that the difference between my approach and others is that I start by determining exactly what I want the cables to do (sound like a direct connection) and I use the simplest and most effective methodology (bypass testing and comprehensive research) to achieve those objectives.

The Unique Philosophy of Wireworld -David Salz

A generation has passed since audio enthusiasts first discovered that cables could change the sound of their stereo systems, but clear explanations of those changes and of why one cable may produce better sound quality than another are not easily found. The fact is that the best cable of all would be no cable at all, a direct physical connection between components. Wireworld’s unique objective approach of evaluating cables by comparing them to direct connections has facilitated the development of cables that preserve more of the beautiful harmonic textures and dynamic expression that make live music so enjoyable.

Wireworld’s objective listening tests have revealed that most of the tonal and spatial effects of cables are caused by electromagnetic(inductive) losses. The positive and negative conductors of a cable need to be very close together to minimize electromagnetic losses, however, the round conductors used in most cables are simply too thick to be made close enough…that is unless they are flattened!

That simple answer is the basis for the DNA™ cable designs utilized in Wireworld cables. The flat conductors in these cables are as thin as a single strand, yet there are enough strands to provide very low resistance, and all of the strands are completely parallel, providing the most direct signal path possible. Furthermore, for each design, the spacing between the two polarities is tuned to match the sound of a direct connection. The effect of that tuning is like focusing a lens, with the wonderful musical details coming into vivid 3-D focus when the spacing is just right.

Another challenge in cable design is the noise generated by the interaction of the conductors and insulation materials within the cable. The standard insulation materials used in cables create triboelectric noise that obscures low-level detail and blurs imaging. Wireworld’s latest innovation, Composite Dielectric Technology™, virtually eliminates that noise to improve low-level resolution, focus and micro-dynamics well beyond the capability of conventional insulation materials.

The goal of Wireworld’s objective design process is to provide the highest fidelity available in each price range, which varies dramatically according to the quantity and quality of materials in each cable. Those material upgrades enable each step upward in the line to let more music through, which is our ultimate goal. Isn’t it yours?

Wireworld - Supernova 6 - Optical Cable

Wireworld Supernova 6 Glass Optical Digital Cable

The first glass optical cable compatible with Macintosh computers

Cooper City Florida (9/21/09) – Wireworld has introduced a new series of optical digital cables that utilize conductors made of 280 glass fibers, rather than the common plastic monofilament conductor, to provide improved sound quality in home theater, computer audio and professional audio applications. In addition to the standard Toslink optical connectors, the Supernova 6 is also available with the 3.5mm mini optical connector, making it the first optical digital cable with glass conductors that is compatible with the optical digital audio output of Macintosh computers.

“The optical digital connection standard is often considered to be second rate compared to the coaxial standard, because most optical cables have low-bandwidth plastic conductors that reduce fidelity” comments Wireworld President and founder David Salz. "The emergence of optical digital cables with glass fiber conductors has proven that the optical cables can often outperform coaxial cables, while providing better isolation from noise, a benefit that can be especially helpful in computer audio applications. The Supernova 6 replaces our very successful Supernova 5+ optical digital cable and it provides improved performance through the use of a newly developed termination technique, which reduces loss to provide wider effective bandwidth than previous optical digitals cables”

The Supernova 6 optical digital cables are currently available from Wireworld dealers in lengths ranging from ½ meter to 8 meters, at suggested retail prices beginning at $129.95 (US retail) for the one meter length.

Wireworld Cable Technology, which was founded by renowned designer David Salz in 1992, is the premier provider of leading edge digital and analog cable technology for home audio and video, from HDMI and Displayport technologies to state of the art high-end interconnects and speaker cables. The company has a reputation for producing superior cables based on the use of objective perceptual testing, innovative patented designs, premium materials, and exceptional manufacturing quality.

So I asked, "What does Wireworld mean to You?"

I recently interviewed dozens of our dealers across America. They are custom installers, specializing in home theater to home automation. They are enthusiasts who own their own boutiques and audiophiles who own their own sound. They are savvy, experienced, ahead of the curve and busy. They are Wireworld.

When asked what it is they like best about Wireworld one dealer said,

"Quality cables. Wide range of selection in each cable category from economy to high end. Of all my distributors/ vendors, Wireworld is the best for delivery times and customer service hands down! Wireworld makes me feel important and as if I am their only dealer."

Another says, "Excellent customer service and cable signal quality."

Others said simply, "reliability, service, quality."

When asked what it is they like best about Wireworld one dealer said,

"Offers a product line that truly improves signal circulation at every product level and price point" and "You have a range from good to awesome so I can almost always find a place for the product" as well as "HDMI and power cable design are at the top of that list"

Another dealer who is fairly new with us says,

"That I get customers contacting me directly looking for your products. I am glad to be one of the dealers listed on your website."

Wireworld. We sell service, quality and technology engineered into high performance cables. We don't hire big-wig marketing gurus to load our literature with heavy words. We don't buy out an entire line of cable from a store only to replace it with our own stock. We don't practice business voodoo. What we do do is make top of the industry cable solutions for outstanding Audio and Video reproduction, from professional use all the way down to tight-budget solutions, for custom install and home entertainment enthusiasts.
